This page serves as an update-log of sorts for the PlutoLighthouse.NET Portal and its sub-sites. These are essentially version-updates and thus might be kind of boring. ^_^ From this section, you can view the full content of an update and make comments on it as well.

  • I realize it's been a while since I actually posted a small fixes log. Mostly because all my work was big stuff that needed it's own update.

I do admit to not-reporting some minor stuff and completely ignoring this thing altogether...which has ended up with me forgetting a lot of the things I meant to fix. Lol. Bad habits are hard to kick it seems.

Anyway, I'm gonna copy/paste the unfinished log entries from the Alpha #24 here and continue adding as I see fit. :) Nothing big here, obviously.

(!) Fixed the Contact pages by adding the Captcha-script used on the comments sections. I honestly don't know why I didn't have one in the first place, lol - I was getting a lot of spam. >_<

(!) Updated the Scrapbook to automatically redirect old URLs for Wallpapers to the appropriate, new location.

(!) Revised the link-buttons to the other sites on the Portal's front page. The Blog and Portfolio are now clearly labeled as works-in-progress, so no one is disappointed if they don't find anything inside them yet, lol.

    To-Do List
    - Do a full, final review of all text on the Portal/Scrapbook/etc. checking for spelling, grammar, consistency, etc.
    - Add increment code to the Scapbook's Artwork Viewer so that the number of views increases only if the site is LIVE and the IP doesn't match my own personal one - make the IP a web_variable so it's easily changeable.
    - Eliminate "AJAX" buttons/links on the Scrapbook entirely. Use the noscript tag (like I should have initially) for non-AJAX links which will solve all the problems I was trying to avoid by putting the optional buttons. Googlebot will see the real links, and visitors will see the AJAX links. If I user didn't want AJAX, they'd have Javascript turned off anyway, and it would show the noscript tag. It's a win-win.
