After years of not doing any original artwork, especially of my partner DJ, I decided to finally draw something for his 40th to get back into the groove (and test my new iPad Pro + Pencil).  The piece is relatively simple - a chibi DJ as a Starfleet Captain but with his new salt-n-pepper hair and much bigger beard.  The outfit itself is from the "Star Trek Picard" era of the series (though I can tell I got the communicator badge style wrong).  The colours were eye dropper-ed from official designs and the shading is a very simple overlay.  I'll concede that the head is a little too big and the pose is a bit boring, but alas.  Either way, I think it turned out alright and I like how easy it was to put the background together now that I'm not scared of using the different types of brushes in Procreate.
